SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Neighborhood

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers into the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering expert services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency reported it's alarmed about the superior range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is because of the lack click here of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area regularly. The services issue established for intervention ordeals a significant inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for that Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to permit the servicing of all consumers and improve access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
